In Tuesday practice we were consistently a top 5 car throughout the sessions. Then for qualifying on Thursday we struggled with an engine failure only allowing 1 lap putting me 11th.
On Friday qualifying I did not qualify well putting me 10th. Coming out of qualifying I was a little surprised because I knew we were a top 5 car but we were a little bit off. In Saturdays race I drove to p6 from 11th by the second lap and then was trained by 4 cars putting me back to 10th. I settled in the pack and let things play out coming down to the last lap when I moved up to 8th.
On Sunday we were 3rd in the morning warm-up. In the race by the second lap I was up to p4, then getting trained once again on the back straight put me back to 12th where I drove back up to 8th by the end of the race. I learned a lot this weekend even though the results weren't great. I am ready to go and race for a win in Thunderbolt.
